Perth wedding photographer

May 24, 2011

I want to see a full unedited photo shoot

Choosing a Perth wedding photographer, which can show you wedding photos from the beginning stages to the finished product, can be simply fascinating. When wedding photographers take photographs sometimes they are taken in settings that may not be a preferred setting for many different reasons. The lighting can be off or they may be lacking colour, if this is the case, these photos are then edited to provide higher quality and a more stunning look.

This is a process in which certain pictures are selected and many of them are touched up to make them more presentable, and others are edited to allow focus on a certain area in the photograph. This is a very common practice and many photographers can do the editing that’s needed in house, without sending the work out to other professionals to have it done. Now in many cases these photos are presented to the owner to make selections on which photos need to be touched up or edited.

When working with a professional photographer you will find that they are very honest and up front with their clients, and will provide all photos un-edited for the selection process. What many people have found is that when dealing with amateurs, when asked to look at photos so a decision can be made on which photos may need to be touched up or edited; they have provided photos that have already been edited and therefore have not been very honest.

This can be very frustrating for a person that is simply trying to get high-quality photographs of their wedding. For this reason it is very important to hire a professional Perth wedding photographer, which can provide a service that is unmatched by any nonprofessional in the market. Many nonprofessional photographers or amateurs do not have the experience, skill or requirements to take professional photographs of your wedding, and because of this many people are faced with a situation similar to the one listed above.

A Perth wedding photographer can help you avoid these types of situations and provide you with the service that will fulfill all of your wedding photography needs professionally and efficiently.

Perth Wedding Photographer – My Type of Ceremony

April 25, 2011

When in the planning stages of your wedding you might be thinking about having a wedding that is a little bit different or nontraditional. The reason for this is you just don’t want the same type of traditional wedding that many people are used to. You are looking for something different, as well as something that can really relate to you and the person you’re getting ready to marry. Although you do want it to be different, you still want it to be special, and you are concerned whether or not a Perth wedding photographer can handle the wedding ceremony you have in mind.

This is one of the benefits you get with choosing a wedding photographer that is part of the AIPP membership. The reason is, there are many different professional services to choose from and all of these professionals have performed a lot different type of weddings in the past. Now, this doesn’t mean that every wedding photographer you find will be able to provide the service you’re looking for. This will still require research on your part in choosing the right wedding photographer that will work for the setting you are planning for your wedding.

Interview your wedding photographer

When you are in the interviewing process, and choosing a wedding photographer that will best fit your needs, you will want to ask them if they have ever shot a wedding event like the one you’re planning. In many cases you will find that your wedding photographer will be quite capable of handling this type of wedding for you. But there are some that have not worked in all different type of settings, and this may require skills that are needed from a more experienced wedding photographer.

This is another reason why it is for important to get your wedding photographer in on your wedding plans as soon as you can. This will ensure that regardless of what type of plans you have, if your wedding photographer is not comfortable, you always have time to choose another wedding photographer. Choosing a Perth wedding photographer will have many benefits, but if you have certain requirements, it is best that you check with your wedding photographer to make sure they have the adequate capabilities before booking their service.

Hiring a Wedding Photographer

April 10, 2011

So you are about to have the most important day of your lives. A wedding, that beautiful day we all dream of one day happening. You want, and should have, this day to be perfect. There is so much planning and organising to do. After you have picked your perfect partner the most important thing is the wedding photographer. They say “a picture is worth a thousand words” and what yours says depends on the photographer that you hire.  Choosing someone from Perth or anywhere else is the same process.

Probably the best place to start is with family and friends, people whose opinions you trust. If you know a recent newlywed this is also a perfect choice. Everybody knows someone so hopefully they will have someone to recommend. You may also check your local newspapers and phonebook. The internet is also a great place to start as you can do this from home. Keep in mind this wedding will only happen once, so you only have one chance to capture the moment. So it is crucial you find the best photographer to capture your special occasion. Personally I would only choose a professional with good credentials. If they are an AIPP member this is even better. The only way to go with a non-professional is if referred by friends or family. Yet be very careful to check their work.

When you have found a few that you are interested in now is the time to interview them. Be prepared when you go to see them. Have a list of questions ready to ask as well as they style and designs you want. Make sure to get a complete look of their work. Not just a few pictures you want to see a full wedding shoot. Get a feel for the photographer and his ideas and suggestions. Keep in mind he has done this before and may be able to assist you with the ideas you have. As helpful as they may be, and a good photographer will be, it is your day and you should have what you want.

Then you need to discuss prices. Make sure you get this all in writing. Please do remember to ask about negatives and proofs, many forget this. Don’t rush your decision; tell them you will get back to them once you make a decision. Then talk to your future spouse and with all your information make your decision. May your day be everything it should be.

Wedding Photographer Perth

April 5, 2011

Most brides don’t know what to expect when hiring a wedding photographer in Perth because they usually don’t have experience picking out photographers for big events. The most important thing to expect is that the person you hire will be the one taking the photos. You should also expect the style of photography you want will be the style you get. You should expect your photographer to have a certain level of experience.

Sometimes when you sign a contract to hire a photographer the studio can send out anyone who is available that day to take the photos. You want to make sure the person whose portfolio you saw will be the same person taking your pictures for your wedding. Also you need to know upfront if they will be working with an assistant and if so you need to know if it will cost extra.

There are different types of photography styles. You may not like every type of style. You should be able to expect that whatever style you tell the photographer you want your photos to be that will be the style they have. You can learn what style you like by looking at different bridal magazines.

You should expect your photographer to have a certain level of experience. You don’t want to hire someone who doesn’t have much experience because this is one of the most important days of your life. They should have a portfolio of other events they’ve been hired for. You should be able to tell by the type of photos they have what your photos will most likely look like.

These are a few things you can expect when hiring a wedding photographer in Perth. Also an important thing to remember is you get what you pay for. If you don’t pay much don’t expect much quality. Once you sit down with your photographer and tell them what you expect on your wedding day everything should run smoothly for everyone.
